Dr. Williams has a variety of experience in the public, private and academic sectors. His areas of expertise include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, fluvial geomorphology, sediment transport, erosion control, streambank protection, and stream restoration. David is also a frequent instructor in these areas for various public agencies, professional societies as well as for ASCE. His public sector work includes the Hydrologic Engineering Center, the Nashville and Baltimore Corps of Engineer Districts, and the Engineering Research and Development Center. His private sector work includes Co-founder and President of WEST Consultants, National Director for Water Resources for HDR and PBS&J (now Atkins), and President of David T. Williams and Associates.
