Justin Li, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow at the department of Civil Engineering of the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He completed his Ph.D. research inComputational and Data science on the topic of remote sensing, water, and environmental resources using advanced geospatial and artificial intelligence analysis. Dr. Li has been actively working on various environmental, agricultural, and water problems including ocean and ecological habitat monitoring, vegetation monitoring and modeling, flood mitigation, and water resources planning in Texas and areas globally.
His current work and research interests include seeking solutions to cope with extreme events/natural disasters, and effective water resources management under climate change, using geospatial analysis, supercomputing, and machine learning techniques. Many of his research findings have been published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
