Gal Perelman is a Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. He received his bachelor's degree (Cum Laude) in Civil Engineering from the Technion. Gal's research focuses on smart decision-making in water resources and power systems. His work includes optimization algorithms, optimization under uncertainty, operation research, and data science applications in various water and energy related fields. He is also passionate about open-source software and is active in the water distribution systems open-source community.
