Postdoctoral Researcher at the Stellenbosch University Water Institute. He specializes in the development and application of hydrological modelling tools and the use of isotope tracers to understand drivers of hydrological change. He has experienced with multiple different modelling systems which includes models built in South Africa, as well as the international scientific sphere. He has experience with conceptual based rainfall-runoff models, unsaturated zone modelling and numerical groundwater modelling, covering a large portion of the modelling tools used in catchment, groundwater and hillslope hydrology. He is a recipient of the Vice Rector’s Postdoctoral Fellow Award for Exceptional Achievement (Top 20 Postdoctoral Researchers at Stellenbosch University), multiple bursaries from the National Research foundation and BMBF (German Ministry of Research and Education) and a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society (top 10% academically at each institution).
