Lisa Umutoni holds an MSc degree in Water Science and Engineering with specialization in Hydroinformatics: Modelling and Information Systems for Water Management from IHE-Delft, The Netherlands. She is presently a PhD student in the Agricultural Sciences Department at Clemson University, South Carolina, USA. Her research interest is in modeling surface and groundwater systems using physically based and data-driven models to promote the efficient management of water resources. Her current research is on developing a machine learning-based irrigation decision support system for optimizing cotton water use
