He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Catholic University of Salvador (2006), Master (2008) and PhD (2012) in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul . He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM/DESA). He has experience in fluid mechanics with emphasis on numerical modeling of incompressible flows around fixed and moving obstacles, sediment transport in gravity currents and hypohyperpenoid turbulent plumes. He works mainly on the following topics: vortex shedding, forced vibration, vortex-induced vibration, direct numerical simulation, transition, and turbulence.
