David Gold is a postdoctoral researcher in Environmental and Water Resources Systems (EWRS) engineering at Cornell. He is originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and received a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering at Lafayette College. After graduating from Lafayette, he worked for several years with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, designing sustainable stormwater management plans for farms. He completed his PhD with at Cornell with Patrick Reed this summer. David’s research focuses on regional water supply planning under conditions of deep uncertainty such as those stemming from climate change and population growth.
