He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2004), a master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering and Sanitation from the University of São Paulo (2006) and a doctorate degree in Environmental Technology and Water Resources from the University of Brasília (2022). He was employed by the Electric Energy Research Center (CEPEL) between 2006 and 2010 as a researcher, working in the development of hydrological models and forecasting for planning the operation and expansion of hydroelectric systems. He is currently coordinator of hydrological studies at the National Water and Sanitation Agency (ANA) working in hydrological studies, analysis of water systems, climate change and water resources planning.
