Lauren Brunton is a Senior Earth and Environmental Science Undergraduate student, with GIS certification, at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). She is AEG (Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists) student chapter president and in good academic standing as well as being placed on Honor’s Dean’s list. Research experience through assisting with NSF (National Science Foundation) Project: SCC-PG: Developing food oases in the urban food deserts with smart urban grower network and most recent, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management) Project: Development of GIS-Based Watershed Need Classification projects, under supervision of Dr. Jejung Lee. Her contributions to the FEMA GIS Watershed Classification projects include collecting data from multiple sources and classifying 311 flooding calls.
