Pitiporn Asvapathanagul, PhD

Dr. Pitiporn Asvapathanagul is an associate professor in Environmental Engineering at California State University, Long Beach. She received her Master and Doctoral degree from University of California, Irvine in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Her area of competency is biological wastewater treatment and molecular biology of activated sludge. Her work involves with biological nutrient removal, solids separation problems in activated sludge and anaerobic digesters, microbial community of activate sludge, biocementation as well as compounds of emerging concerns and microplastics treatment in water and wastewater.
