Water Resources Engineer

Dr. David Rheinheimer's professional interests includes a range of concerns around water resources planning and management, including the water-energy nexus, river basin management, environmental flows, water system modeling, sustainable development, machine learning, and decision making under deep uncertainty. A long time professional researcher in academia, starting at the Watershed Sciences Center at the University of California, Davis, and ending, most recently, as a Research Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, he is now a Water Resources Engineer with the Colorado River Board of California, where he supports a range of engineering-related activities in the basin. He is active in several EWRI committees, including as Secretary for the River Basin Planning, Policy and Operations Committee and the Sustainability Committee.
