Tony L. Wahl, P.E., M. ASCE, is a Technical Specialist with 32 years of work experience in the Bureau of Reclamation Hydraulics Laboratory in Denver, Colorado. His interests revolve around hydraulic measurements and experimentation, including flow measurement in open channels, velocity measurements with ADV’s, flow measurement capacity of Coanda-effect screens, measurements of the erodibility of cohesive soils, embankment breach processes, unlined spillway erosion, hydraulic jacking in lined spillways, and cavitation and aerated flow in smooth and stepped spillway chutes. He is the author of over 120 publications and several notable computer programs including WinADV, used around the world to analyze ADV data sets, and WinFlume, used internationally to design long-throated flume and broad-crested weir flow measurement structures. He received the Hydraulic Structures Medal in 2019.
