PhD Student
Lehigh University
Saskia is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering at Lehigh University focusing on the Control and Co-Optimization of Interconnected Critical Infrastructures, specifically for smart-water systems. Previously, she worked for the Government of Indonesia in the Department of Sanitation, particularly in wastewater management. Her educational background is in Environmental Engineering (B.Eng from Universitas Indonesia and M.Eng from Pennsylvania State University). Her research interests include the optimization of interconnected critical infrastructures, water supply systems, water-energy nexus, and innovation of chemical and biological treatment of water and wastewater. She is working with Professor Faegheh Moazeni and Professor Javad Khazaei on the interdependence of water and energy systems through a predictive control algorithm.
