Dr. Edward Tiernan is an Engineer at the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project (SCCWRP) working on the Stormwater BMP research theme. Edward's professional interests include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater control mechanics, and characteristics of precipitation. In August 2022, Edward graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering after completing a dissertation concerning the computational reorganization of the hydraulic engine of the US EPA Stormwater Management Model (SWMM).
