Dr. Namita Shrestha earned her PhD in Civil/Environmental Engineering from South Dakota
School of Mines and Technology; Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from
South Dakota School of Mines and Technology; Master of Science in Sustainable Water
Sanitation Health and development from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering; and
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering,
Nepal. Her doctoral research focused on microbial electrochemical technologies for treatment
of waste and wastewater. Her research interests include bioelectrochemical systems, microbial
electrochemistry, resource recovery from waste/wastewater, waste treatment and nanomaterial
for bioelectrochemical application.
