Abigail Kargol is a PhD student at the University of Washington in the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences. Her research goal is to couple wastewater polishing for the protection of global water resources, with biomass production for biofuel synthesis. Abigail received her B. S. in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota in 2019, and her M.S. from the University of Washington in 2021. Her Masters research focused on the impacts of long-term irrigation with reclaimed wastewater on rhizosphere microbial communities.
