Hydraulic and Civil Engineer, PhD. in water resources and environmental sanitation. He has been working as professor, researcher and extensionist at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) since 2009 with more than 80 publications in scientific journals, patents, software and as the supervisor of more than 20 MSc and PhD. students. Participates and coordinates several research and extension projects related to the area of water resources and environmental sanitation, as leader of the Research Group on Hydro-environmental Modeling and Ecotechnologies, working mainly with hydrological and hydraulic modeling and Urban Drainage Master Plans, having participated in the UDMP of Porto Alegre (RS), Caxias do Sul (RS), Flores da Cunha (RS), Teresina (PI), Distrito Federal, Manaus (AM) and Campo Grande (MS). He received outstanding reviewer (2018) and best case study (2013) from the Journal of Hydrologic Engineering of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
