Dr. Meghna Babbar-Sebens is an Associate Professor in Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University. She and her students conduct and actively publish on interdisciplinary, computational research in the field of Hydroinformatics. Her research advances innovation in machine learning, human-computer collaboration, IoT sensing, and big data analytics for adaptive and community-driven planning and management of water infrastructure and water resources, specifically for problems aimed at achieving resilience to natural hazards and climate change related stresses. She is also the co-director of the OSU-Benton County Green Stormwater Infrastructure Research (OGSIR) Facility, an Oregon BEST Lab, where field research and performance testing of green infrastructure solutions (also called Low Impact Development technologies) are conducted. She is Section Editor of ASCE’s Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management, and was Eric H.I. and Janice Hoffman Faculty Scholar in Civil and Construction Engineering at Oregon State University from 2015-2017.
