Associate professor
Morgan State University
Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering within the School of Engineering at Morgan State University. Dr. Kang has expertise in fate and transport contaminants, phytoremediation, and recycled material. Previously, Dr. Kang’s research project focused on how recycled waste materials remain in the environment without decaying and causing subsequent pollution and water quality impacts. In this study, Dr. Kang will evaluate the hydraulic, mechanical, and the potential leach ability of contaminants from recycled materials. His experience in performing mineral and metal analysis will be a valuable contribution to this project. Currently, Dr. Kang’s research focuses on sludge driven biochar and its applications to storm water Best Management Practices (BMPs) and soil amendments.
